Dr. Ameet Dhurandhar is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist (M.D.D.G.O.) and a trained water birthing and Hypnobirthingpractioner. He is amongst the first few Obstetricians in India to conduct waterbirths and Hydro births and the first to conduct a natural, pain free childbirth under hypnosis in Mumbai (Hypno Birthing). He is a firm supporter of natural drug free childbirth and believes women are created and designed to birth naturally, therefore when left alone in a stress free environment (under supervision), can do so without medical interference.

His area of speciality in Obstetrics is waterbirth, hypno birthing (hypnosis for pain relief), vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC), gentle birthing (drug-free), and Infertility. He has also trained in Laparoscopic Surgery (Minimal invasive surgery) in France.

Dr. Dhurandhar leads a highly proficient team consisting of international midwives and hospital staff, trained and certified by Barbara Harper (USA) and Dianne Garland (UK) who are international experts and pioneers in the field with over 70 years of combined experience.

Dr. Ameet is also the first in Mumbai to start a Perineal Care Clinic whose team includes Urologists, specialized Radiologists, trained Physiotherapists that tend to the Perineum rehabilitation post partum (post delivery) and post vaginal surgeries, who will help you get back into shape.

He is the Past President of Birth India(NGO)which promotes natural childbirth. And also the Healthcare Director of Children Treasure (NGO based in Geneva) which takes care of rural Children in India.
