Checklist before conception

Before you conceive, start on your prenatal supplements – folic acid, essential vitamins and minerals and ensure all immunizations are up to date.

So starting on prenatal supplements at least two months before, and they should contain folic acid and some other essential vitamins and multi-minerals and make sure that immunizations are up to date. They’re immune to rubella, chickenpox, and also do some blood tests to make sure there’s no thyroid disorder or a tendency to diabetes and some are any other deficiencies like, you know, low hemoglobin.

It’s a good idea to know that you are not a carrier of thalassemia trait because that is something that should, one should be aware of before one gets pregnant and that one is husband or partner is not also a carrier of a similar condition, and then you’re good to go.
